ACAI BERRY
A Brazilian superfood with high levels of the antioxidant anthocyanin
Acai berries are a rich source of anthocyanins, the same family of antioxidants that give blueberries, red wine, and purple cabbage their colour and health benefits. Scientific studies show that acai berries and anthocyanins help keep the heart healthy, reduce pain from inflammation, and manage cholesterol and blood sugar.

- In a study with 23 middle-aged men, acai-based smoothies led to improvements in blood vessel health. The researchers concluded that the benefits of acai may help lower the risk of cardiovascular (heart-related) events.
- Anthocyanin supplements significantly decreased fasting blood sugar, blood fats, and markers of inflammation. These were the results of a four-week study looking at 55 adults with metabolic syndrome (a combination of high blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol, and excess body fat).
- In a one-month pilot study, overweight adults who took acai pulp had lower levels of fasting blood sugar and total cholesterol.
- An open-label study recruited participants with limited range of motion and pain, including people with osteoarthritis. After drinking an acai-based juice for 12 weeks, participants saw higher antioxidant levels, improved range of motion, and reduced pain.
APPLE STEM CELL
Plant stem cells help with regeneration and renewal after stress or injury.
Apple stem cell extracts have an anti-ageing effect. They restore health and youth by fighting oxidation and delaying signs of ageing.
- Apple stem cell extracts defend against ageing by protecting cells from free radicals and oxidative stress.
- Apple stem cells have been studied specifically for anti-ageing effects on the skin. They may help regenerate skin cells, keep skin moisturized, and reduce surface wrinkles.
BEETROOT
A vibrant superfood rich in antioxidants, betaine, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and more.
Beetroot benefits extend throughout the mind and body, from improving athletic performance to helping older adults with heart and brain health.

- In a study looking at older adults, eating a breakfast that included 2 cups of beet juice was linked to increased blood flow in the brain. Degeneration in this specific area of the brain often leads to dementia.
- A systematic review concluded that beetroot can help reduce blood pressure and reduce the risk of harmful cardiovascular (heart-related) events.
- Multiple studies show improved athletic performance after consuming beets. Cyclists were able to ride longer before becoming exhausted, rowers improved performance by 1.7%, and runners were able to run faster after consuming beets.
- Betaine is a compound in beets that has been linked to improved insulin sensitivity, which would benefit those with type 2 diabetes. Betaine and its precursor choline are also thought to help fight against inflammation.
GRAPE STEM CELL
Provides high amounts of trans-resveratrol — the antioxidant that gives tea, berries, dark chocolate, and wine their powerful health benefits.
Resveratrol is well established for its anti-ageing effects, playing a role in skin rejuvenation, heart protection, and blood sugar regulation.
- Resveratrol’s antioxidant effects help eliminate free radical molecules that damage skin tissue.
- Measures of blood flow improved after taking trans-resveratrol for 3 months. This study was conducted on adults with heart disease.
- In a meta-analysis of 11 randomized controlled trials, it was found that resveratrol significantly reduced fasting blood sugar and insulin resistance in people with diabetes.
NIGELLA SATIVA
Also known as Black Cumin and used in traditional medicine in Europe, Arabia, and India.
Several studies show that Nigella sativa may help protect gut lining, reduce inflammation, and increase antioxidant activity.
- In an animal study, Nigella sativa and its major compound (thymoquinone) were shown to protect gut lining, increase gut antioxidant activity, and promote ulcer healing.
- After taking Nigella sativa, participants in this gold standard study (Randomised Controlled Trial or RCT) had lower levels of C-reactive protein, a key marker of inflammation. Participants, who all had rheumatoid arthritis, also experienced improvements in the number of swollen joints.
- In a 2011 study, 40 females with rheumatoid arthritis were first given placebo capsules for a month, then Nigella sativa capsules for a month. After consuming Nigella sativa, symptoms of inflammation significantly decreased. Specifically, the number of swollen joints and duration of morning stiffness improved.
RED RASPBERRY
Red raspberries have a unique antioxidant profile that highlights two key compounds: anthocyanins and ellagitannins.
Anthocyanins and ellagitannins are the key contributors to red raspberry’s beneficial effects. Both are linked to improved heart and brain health, better management of weight and blood sugar, and potential anti-cancer effects.
- In a study of 32 prediabetic adults, those who added raspberries to their diet had better blood sugar management.
- In an animal study, red raspberry helped reduce inflammation and insulin resistance caused by obesity.
- An anthocyanin-rich juice helped decrease oxidative DNA damage in a study of 18 men.
POMEGRANATE
Pomegranate and its bioactive compounds offer impressive health benefits, protecting the body from the unwanted effects of ageing and disease.
Pomegranates are extremely high in antioxidants, with 20+% higher antioxidant levels than red wine, green tea, or blueberry juice.
- In a study of 32 middle-aged and older adults, drinking pomegranate juice for 4 weeks resulted in better memory and higher brain activation compared to placebo.
- A one-year gold standard study with over 200 participants showed that pomegranate juice may help maintain the ability to retain visual information.
- Multiple studies show that pomegranate juice can help reduce blood pressure in people with hypertension (high blood pressure).
- Pomegranate juice was found to have potential cancer-protecting effects in a study on men with prostate cancer.
