The Blood Grouping Tulip Copy is a professional blood-bank testing solution from Tulip Diagnostics (P) Ltd., India, developed around Gel Column Agglutination Technology (CAT).

The Matrix system is designed to support routine blood grouping and immunohematology procedures, including ABO blood grouping, Rh(D) typing, forward grouping, reverse grouping, crossmatching, antibody screening, DAT and IAT, depending on the specific Matrix card and reagent configuration used.

In a typical gel-card procedure, red blood cells and the appropriate testing reagents are added to microtubes containing a gel medium. Following incubation and centrifugation, agglutinated red cells remain within the gel column while non-agglutinated cells move toward the bottom. The resulting reaction pattern is then interpreted according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

The Tulip Matrix product family includes various blood-grouping gel cards and supporting instruments such as card centrifuges, card warmers and card readers. The Matrix Octoplus Complete Grouping Card, for example, includes Anti-A, Anti-B, Anti-AB, Anti-D, Control, A₁ cells, B cells and O cells for forward and reverse grouping workflows.
